Dr. Sylvie Roy is a professor at the Werklund School of Education (University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada). Her fields are sociolinguistics and teaching and learning languages. She wrote a book called French Immersion Ideologies in Canada published in 2020. She works with future teachers of French as a second language.
