Prof. Dr. Wen-Haw Chen is a Full Professor in the Department of Smart Computing and Applied Mathematics at Tunghai University, Taiwan. He specializes in differential geometry and its applications, mathematics education, and ethnomathematics. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan.

His research focuses on culturally responsive approaches to mathematics teaching, with an emphasis on digital and cross-cultural learning. He has led multiple research projects funded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and the National Science and Technology Council, and has engaged in international collaborations, including with Universitas Negeri Makassar in Indonesia.

Prof. Chen is a recipient of Tunghai University’s Distinguished and Outstanding Teaching Award—the institution’s highest honor for teaching excellence—and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Humanistic Mathematics and international academic conferences.
